Adventures with Parker – Vlogger
- What is your name and the name of your channel? My name is Parker, and my channel is called Adventures with Parker!
- Where are you from? I’m from London, Ontario, which is a medium sized city in Canada (about 2 hours west of Toronto).
- Why did you start on YouTube? Originally, I wanted to use YouTube as a place to share videos from my 2017 trip to Orlando (which you can find as the “Orlando Bound” series on my channel). It was just a fun way to practice my editing skills and share my adventures! From there, I wanted to continue making videos about whatever adventures I happened to go on, and it eventually grew to become the channel it is today: a place where I can share my passions about theme parks, travel, and attractions.
- If you watch other (YouTube) Channels, what are you top three? There is so many to choose from! But I think I’m going to have to go with: Justin Scarred, Storybook Amusement & Park Twister
- Who or What Inspired you to start up a YouTube Channel? My best friend suggested that I start a channel! She has been a huge help and has given me a lot of useful advice over the years.
- Could you name three reasons why people should subscribe to your channel? I try to ensure that all of my videos are fun to watch, whether that’s by adding in a few jokes or showing off a stunning, cinematic shot. My favourite piece of feedback about my channel is that I’m enthusiast, upbeat, and positive. The world definitely needs more of that these days. My channel is a place where you can join me on my adventures and learn about cool theme parks and destinations! I try to provide some interesting insight and helpful information on any topic I cover.
- What is your favourite thing about the YouTube Community? I would have to say getting the chance to meet like-minded, passionate people. I’ve made so many amazing friends through YouTube!
- What is your least favourite thing about the YouTube Community? While there are so many great people out there, there’s also a bit of toxicity in the community. It hurts whenever I see people getting bullied or harassed. However, I try to create a positive environment where I can.
- Could you name three things / facts about you that we don’t already know? I love dogs! I don’t have any yet… but I do have a cat’s. I’m a total science nerd! I’m actually in my last year of university, where I’m studying Integrated Science (with a focus on Environmental Science), plus a minor in Biology. I love theatre, and I’ve been in a few plays and musicals over the years.
- What do you think is the hardest thing about being a YouTuber? I think it’s easy to get discouraged, especially when you’re still a small channel like myself. Although I don’t plan on making YouTube my full-time job, it’d still be nice to reach 1000 subscribers and make some extra money on the side. Reaching that goal is taking a long time, and I always feel like I need to constantly push myself – which isn’t a bad thing, but it can be frustrating at times. However, I just need to remind myself that the reason I’m doing all this is so I can share videos about what I’m passionate about and meet cool people along the way.
- And what is the most rewarding part of being a YouTuber? I think I just answered that – I get to share my passions in a way that’s fun. Knowing that I can make even just a few people smile through my videos is so rewarding.
- Lastly, do you have any tips or advice for others who are thinking about starting a YouTube Channel? Just start! Don’t think too hard about it, and just hit record. You’ll learn things and develop your brand along the way. Like I said, I started just as a way to share my vacation videos, and it’s grown from there. Also, make sure you post on a regular basis… the more you post, the more chances there are for people to discover you; plus, you learn new things with each video you create.

Coasters on the Coast – Blogger
- What is your name and the name of your blog? Hey guys, I’m Emma and I write blog post which are known as Coasters on the Coast
- Where are you from? I am from West Midlands!
- Why did you start on blogging? I’ve always had a passion for writing and once I figured out something I love to write about, I couldn’t resist starting up my site. A lot of the reasoning behind blogging, was to help with my own mental health by having something to keep me occupied and focused on. But also, I have so much to say in regard to the subjects that I talk about.
- If you watch / follow other (YouTube) Channels or blogs, what are your top three? I actually watch so much YouTube and have a handful of bloggers that are my ultimate go to. But some that spring to mind include Airtime John (YouTube), Springy Tales (YouTube) and Mission Theme Park blogs. But I could sit and list at least another 10 that I can’t get enough of.
- Who or what inspired you to start up a blogging? If I’m honest I have always had an eye for theme park blogs and pretty much all of them which I still read today collectively inspired me to blog myself. But I’ve also always had a passion for writing, during primary school I used to love writing little stories on Word as a hobby. So, I was inspired by a mixture of individual bloggers but also a hobby I once forgotten I loved.
- Could you name three reasons why people should follow you? I really struggle with this kind of thing haha. But I do try and upload twice a week, every week. I share a range of post including top tips, trip reviews, general discussion, hotel reviews, scare reviews etc. So, I guess is that your thing then that’s a reason to check me out!
- What is your favourite thing about the blogging community? The support and talent. I love how supportive we all are to one-another, there is always a lovely warmth within the community. There is so many talented writers amongst us as well it always feels such an honour to know such talented people.
- What is your least favourite thing about the blogging community? Something I have found is a lot of the time as a blogger, is bloggers are easily overshadowed by YouTube videos. Other than that, there is not a great ordeal of negatives to list.
- Could you name three things / facts about you that we don’t already know? I’m not really the most interesting person, so this is hard to answer! I am a huge animal lover and that’s something a few may have picked up in regard to my active post regarding adoption and my boys (doggies). I was also a member of the fab Drayton Talk team for a little while. Lastly, I am a merlin annual pass collaborator!
- What do you think the hardest thing is about being a blogger? 100% writer’s block. For me, I will have an idea for a post then I’ll go to write it then my brain will go completely blank, and I’ll be sat on the idea for months. Although I know for a lot of bloggers coming up with ideas can be quite tough too.
- And what is the most rewarding part of being a blogger? For me, I have found blogging altogether really rewarding. Just having one reader means a lot to me but also the opportunities it has brought me too. I’ve recently be approached by Drayton Manor to feature as a guest blogger, which was a real proud moment for me. But also, I find the fact that my blogs have helped people really rewarding. Basically, I just find everything about blogging rewarding!
- Lastly, do you have any tips or advice for others who are thinking about starting a YouTube Channel or a blog? Just be you and enjoy it. Something I wish I done differently at the beginning was being afraid to share my real opinions due to backlash or deleting a post because someone disagreed with my points in a rather hostile manner. Also, it’s okay to take a break, never feel pressured to keep up with a regular upload, we all get writer’s block or need some time for us, it’s perfectly okay to do so.

Michelle Chloe Q&A – Vlogger

My Second Vlogger Q&A is Michelle Chloe, you’ll find all the links underneath the questions to all of her channels / website
- What is your name and the name of your channel?
My name is Michelle Chloe Brown, it sounds very formal when I say it all in one, but usually I just go by Michelle! My channel/business is built around Michelle Chloe but I’m also published as Michelle Brown
2. Where are you from?
I am from a little rural village in Yorkshire, England (UK)
3. Why did you start on YouTube?
YouTube is something I had thought about for a long time but just never had the confidence to do (I was always worried what people would say). But last year, I just thought what the heck! I work in media/PR & just wanted to try something different which could also be beneficial (skills wise) in my line of work, but also just have a bit of fun and share the things that I like doing.
4. If you watch other (YouTube) Channels, what are your top three?
I have to admit, it has only been the last three or four years that I’ve really gotten into watching YouTube, but now choosing just 3 people is really tough!
If I really had to pick it would probably be Bailey Sarian, Keltie O’Connor and Fashion Mumblr (Josie LDN as she is also known, or Josie Fear as her given name)
5. Who or what inspired you to start up a YouTube channel?
I wouldn’t necessarily say it was one person, but I really loved the fact people could be themselves and share what they love. Jaclyn Hill was probably the first YouTuber I really followed, & I loved how the platform let her grow as a person & as a brand, but I also saw how ugly it could be. I think so long as you don’t go into it for the money & you just want to create content that you’d love to watch then you can be inspired by yourself & creators that also do it for the love.
6. Could you name three reasons why people should subscribe to your channel?
Ha, surprisingly this is a difficult question for me. I am confident in the sense I can put myself out there, but self-praise and accepting compliments has always been hard. I think people should perhaps subscribe to my channel because I’m different? I don’t necessarily follow trends or stick to a niche. People are diverse and have many hobbies so why not share you as a whole rather than getting stuck down a rabbit hole.
As well as variety, I like to help people. Some of my videos are a bit of fun but some of them (like my university ones) are educational.
The last reason is probably a little bit of a cheat, but because I value and listen to my subscribers. If you would like to know something about university, then I’ll make a video or answer your questions in the comments. The same goes with makeup; if you see an unboxing of some products and what me to use them, I’ll do it! So yeah, I guess it doesn’t matter what the subject, I’ll always listen and help my subscribers as best I can.
7. What is your favourite thing about the YouTube community?
The fact it’s a community. I love that YouTube can become like an extended family or a group of friends. People will build you up and support you and be therefore you. It can be kind.
8. What is your least favourite thing about the YouTube community?
The hate. I can’t say I’ve experienced true hate, but I am terrified of those people that sit behind a computer and say the most awful things because they feel protected by a username. I’m all for freedom of speech and expressing your opinion, but I don’t like the idea of making someone hurt so that you feel big or better about yourself. We’re all humans, so just be kind.
9. Could you name three things / facts about you that we don’t already know?
Hmm, I feel like this is hard one. I’m really not sure! I guess they would be that I have met 3 different royals, 2 of which was within weeks of each other and one of them I have gone on to meet several times. I was also supposed to go to the Queens garden party last year, but due to lockdown I couldn’t go.
I didn’t actually intend to do the job that I’m doing. I wanted to be a show jumper, but when I was at school I was asked to write for a magazine (at 14/15) and then I’ve gone on to build my little business where I now contract out to multiple firms creating content and writing articles.
I’m really struggling for a third, but I guess it could either be that I really want another horse (you can never have too many 😂), or that I really love reading – or at least, I love books and collecting books, but I go through stages of actually wanting to read them. I’d love to know if people would be interested in me doing a book series on my channel, or discussing/ helping people to understand politics in a way that doesn’t make you just want to roll your eyes.
10. What do you think the hardest thing is about being a YouTuber?
Constantly being motivated. For me, editing is the worst part about YouTube and it’s why I’m not consistent. I can happily film a video, but then it can take me a while to get motivated to edit and sometimes what I wanted to film is then no longer relevant (if it is time sensitive). If my last video hasn’t performed that great it can also be quite off putting to film something else too.
11. And what is the most rewarding part of being a YouTuber?
Getting to publish content that you’d want to watch. Sharing things that you love and have a passion for and seeing other people love them things as well.
12. Lastly, do you have any tips or advice for others who are thinking about starting a YouTube Channel?
Just do it. It doesn’t matter if you have your channel on private and upload for yourself, or if you only post one video a year, just do it. I’m so glad that I did because not only have I learned a new skill (editing), I’ve created something for myself and something that I can look back at.

Parks, Scares & Glitter Q&A – Blogger

1 What is the name of your blog?
H there. I’m Dom and I created Parks, Scares and Glitter, a LGBTQ+ theme park and scare attraction of and review site.
2. Where are you from?
There is 6 of us from all over the UK but I am from the lovely city of Salisbury in Wiltshire in the South West.
3. Why did you start on Blogging?
Our first actual blog post went out in October 2018 but Parks, Scares and Glitter has been around on Facebook since April 2018.
4. Do you have a top three favourite Vloggers / Bloggers?
There are too many wonderful content creators out there! But I always try to watch, listen or read any scare related content and I have a soft spot for LGBTQ+ content creators
5. Who or what inspired you to start blogging?
I’m going to be completely honest, we started out as a review page for mainly scare attractions but with the odd post about theme parks. The reviewing idea came from ScareTour I guess as I wanted to share my thoughts about scare stuff. It then moved on to reviewing day trips at parks and the blogging side eventually happened naturally.
6. Could you name three reasons why people should follow your blog?
To my knowledge we are currently the only LGBTQ+ theme park and scare attraction blog in the UK. We have new content every week be it a review or a blog post and I guess the third reason would be we do it because we genuinely care about what we blog about as we pour our hearts and soul into each and every blog post.
7. What is your favourite thing about the Blogging community?
100% the different types of blog posts out there. I’ve seen blog posts ranging from Travelodge tips to 10 best coasters to worst places to eat to best scare moment. There is just such a huge range of topics out there for people to sit and read and it’s amazing.
8. What is your least favourite thing about the Blogging community?
I think my least favourite thing is when people don’t give bloggers the same respect as they do vloggers. Blogging is harder than people think.
9. Could you name three things / facts about you that we don’t already know?
I was part of the Towers Times team for 2 years. I’ve never scare acted unlike most of my team. I think Flamingo Land is one of the best theme parks in the UK.
10. What do you think the hardest thing is about being a Blogger?
I think the hardest part about being a blogger is trying to keep your content exciting and getting people to want to read it. People seem to prefer to watch a video than read a post, so it’s trying to get people to want to read what you’ve written. That’s the hardest part.
11. And what is the most rewarding part of being a Blogger?
Without doubt the fact that you can change someone’s opinion on something or make them see things from a different perspective.
12. Lastly, do you have any tips or advice for others who are thinking about starting a blog?
You will have days where you will feel like throwing in the towel or get frustrated that you can’t think of things to write about and that’s ok. It happens to all of us. Step back and come back later. Don’t ever force a blog post out because you set yourself a target of one blog post a week on a Wednesday for example. Just go with the flow and remember that you do it because you enjoy it.
You can get social with Parks, Scares & Glitter on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, and lastly their website
Richie Mouse Blog – Blogger

My name is Richard but my friends call me Richie, and my blog is called Richie Mouse Blog!
2. Where are you from?
I am based in Galway, Ireland.
3. Why did you start on Blogging?
Well, it all started when I was helping a friend organise a trip to Disneyland Paris. After I explained all the information she needed about attractions, dining, fastpasses and my top tips; she encouraged me to write about it. I wanted to take the knowledge I have about the parks and write posts for families, couples, newbies and oldies at the parks! I am also an English teacher, so I get to express two of my passions: writing and Disney!
4. Do you have a top three favourite Vloggers / Bloggers?
I can only pick three?! That’s a tough one!
Adam Hattan: I am a massive fan of Adam and Gary, and their adventures at the parks. I feel like I learn something new with each of their vlogs, including a new catchphrase! (You’ll find Adam on his YouTube Channel here)
Brogan Tate: I have been a big fan of Brogan for a number of years! She has some incredible Disney tips videos and her vlogs at Disney World are perfect for a cosy night in! (You’ll find Brogan and her channel here)
So Helena and Martyn: I stumbled across these guys by accident and it was the best mistake ever! Their energy is infectious, and they have fantastic tips and tricks within their vlogs for anyone visiting Disneyland Paris for the first time! (You’ll find Helena & Martyn with their channel here)
5. Who or what inspired you to start blogging?
What really inspired me to start blogging was the fact that I wanted to write about something I am really passionate about and help people. If one person has a magical holiday after reading my blog, I will be very happy!
6. Could you name three reasons why people should follow your blog?
My blog is family friendly.
I cover all aspects of the park to help you have a magical time.
I love talking about Disney, so will message back on my socials or email.
7. What is your favourite thing about the Blogging community?
Everyone has been so welcoming! I was worried about being the new kid on the block, but everyone has welcomed me in with open arms and has shared my content which has been amazing!
8. What is your least favourite thing about the Blogging community?
I don’t think I have one yet! I try to stay positive, especially during this tough time!
9. Could you name three things / facts about you that we don’t know already know?
1. Before I became a teacher, I was a Stage Manager touring Ireland with plays.
2. I have a rabbit called Rua, he is not too interested in being a part of the blog.
3. I have a teddy bear called Banjo! He came to Disney many times when I was younger!
10. What do you think the hardest thing is about being a Blogger?
I guess gauging how your content will go down! I was worried that there were too many Disney Bloggers, but the community seems to welcome everyone!
11. And what is the most rewarding part of being a Blogger?
I had some lovely conversations with people on Twitter last night. They are people I probably would not have met without the blog, so that is by far the most rewarding part!
12. Lastly, do you have any tips or advice for others who are thinking about starting a blog?
Be yourself, everyone else is taken!
You can find Richie’s blog here and get social with him on Twitter and Instagram

Sometimes I find myself checking my subscribers and stressing over the subscribers I lost and how many likes I got on a video compared to another but those numbers aren’t important! If you are having fun and you enjoy making content, keep doing it no matter what the numbers look like! And the right people will find you and love you for you!
