Elfland UK
ABOUT ELFLAND UK
Where it All Began
Elfland UK is the vision of Clare Anderson, Founder of Sensory Retreats, and her young daughter Siena. Clare has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years and is a passionate advocate of the importance of complete wellbeing for mind, body and soul.
Sensory Retreats is the multi-award winning wellness home to the self-heating eye mask range, featured on ITV This Morning and winner of a coveted 2022 ASOS Beauty award.
Retailing a collection of holistic wellbeing products, inspired by the professional spa industry and driven by a passion to deliver multi-sensory, self-curated experiences. Sensory Retreats was developed during the first lockdown to help take the consumer’s wellbeing journey to another level. The consumer range features a wonderful collection of products and treatments that can be enjoyed at home or in spas
During lockdown, it became even more apparent that kids and not just adults’ mental & physical needs were affected. Clare realised that tapping into the underlying ethos behind the Sensory Retreats brand, while adapting the product range specifically to cater for the wellbeing needs of children, could be the answer to helping children be more present & aware in the moment.
The result is Elfland UK. An online portal for children that includes a range of products delivering a host of wellbeing benefits and positive affirmations, alongside woodland based experiences that focus on the importance of sensory stimulation.
Clare’s ultimate wish is that children, alongside their parents, will be encouraged to reconnect with the world around them, using the healing power of kindness, mindfulness and nature to simultaneously relax but also recharge over-stimulated bodies and minds.

Equus England (Equestrian Shop)
We all want to spend as much quality time as possible with our horses. What we definitely don’t want to be doing is spending that time chasing around the country for a particular equine product, running from tack shop to country store, or searching for fruitless hours online then waiting up to a week or more for delivery.
Frustrated by this lack of available options for convenient quality equestrian clothing and tack, co-founders Kim Horton and Steven Wood were inspired to bring customer-focussed shopping to the forefront of the online equine retail sector.
“Equus really grew from a rant I had about a particularly disastrous trip to the tack shop,” says Kim. “As a keen horse rider working full time, I was unable to find somewhere that sold the kind of quality equine clothing and equipment I wanted, AND could deliver it to me quickly and reliably.”

Jaques of London
Jaques of London have been inventing and making toys & games since 1795
They recently contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing one of their products for my gift guide, obviously I said yes!! They were very helpful over email and gave me a list of toys to choose from. They have toys and games for all ages and was so difficult to find just one, but I chose “Mexican Train Game – Train Dominoes”
I chose the dominoes game as we love playing different games with our families and Charlie loves a game where he has to think about what he’s doing and loves a challenge (he also likes to win!!) We are also visiting my brother and his family in New York at Christmas and the tin it comes in makes it so handy for us to pack and take with us.
It was dispatched promptly and arrived beautifully packaged, just by the packaging I could tell how much care goes into their games.
We will be playing it later with Charlie’s Nanny and Grandad which will be fun (and will add a bit more to this review once we’ve played it, but I can say that the instructions look very clear and it does look easy enough to play)
Did you know the game of croquet was introduced to Victorian England by John Jaques?
How Croquet then became Ping Pong: Through his growing frustrations with the grand slam success of tennis, John Jaques would go on to introduce the game of Gossima as a retort to centre court challengers. In recognition of the difficult marketing potential of such a bizarre title, the game of tennis would take to the dining table, as Ping Pong was born. (this paragraph was taken from their blog “Who Invented Croquet“)
Did you also know that Snakes and ladders was first created by Jaques of London in 1873, and has gone on to become a staple in worldwide gaming, providing centuries of entertainment to generations of ladder climbing enthusiasts across the globe.

PrezzyBox
PrezzyBox are on a mission to create moments of happiness by delivering the extraordinary. We aim to sell the kind of presents that trigger that moment of excitement and elation when you find them.
Today, PrezzyBox HQ is a beautiful farmhouse in the Midlands with an online store that welcomes over 5 million visitors a year.
Born in 2000 in a tiny office in Warwickshire, the creation of founder, Zak Edwards.
Spurred on by the dot com boom, the recent sale of his Dad’s business, and his lack of enthusiasm in his job at the time – Zak spotted an opportunity online to deliver happiness (or more literally, to sell gifts).
Before long, the website was online and PrezzyBox was born! We improved day after day – be that the way we looked, or the way we operated. Slowly but surely, people began to take notice.
(this is not a gifted or paid promotion, just sharing the website as there are some awesome bits on here & I’ll be using myself for gifts)
