After this last year, more and more people are thinking about the way they spend their vacation time. A lot of people are a bit worried about travelling abroad, so more and more are booking staycations.
I’ve found this great website holidaycottages.co.uk where they have some beautiful and unique places to stay.
I found ones like Rakesdale Loft which is not only close to Alton Towers (approx 20 mins) but also close to Gulliver’s Kingdom, Matlock Bath (again, approx 20 mins).
I’m going to be sharing below some of my fave ones that I come across.
You’ll find that these lovely cottages are in a good location for visiting the Weymouth Sea Life Centre & the Jurassic Coast
Norfolk – especially the North Norfolk coast has a special little bit of my heart. My grandparents moved to Norfolk when I was 4 (a long time ago!!) and we would spend most weekends and holiday’s visiting them and having some of my fave holidays there. Most of the places you’ll see are within travelling distance of family friendly things to do, including the Sea Life Centre’s in Hunstanton and Yarmouth. These are only a small selection of what is on offer.Low Farm Cottage, Sleeps 4 – Winterton on Sea, Norfolk The Big Barn At Low Farm, Sleeps 6 – Winterton on Sea, Norfolk Coach House Sedgeford, Sleeps 2 – Sedgeford, Norfolk Lavender Bungalow, Sleeps 4 – Heacham, Norfolk Sleepy Gull, Sleeps 6 – Old Hunstanton, Norfolk Alexandra House, Sleeps 8 – Hunstanton, Norfolk
Peak District / Staffordshire
These cottages / apartments I’ve selected (more on the website) are within 40 minutes travel (by car) distance from Alton Towers and Gulliver’s Kingdom (Matlock Bath). I will try and add ones that are less than that where possible.
