So, we headed back to our happy place, Legoland Sunday / Monday just gone. The weather was amazing, warm, but not unbearable. We went mainly to try out the new land, LEGO® Mythica and boy, it didn’t disappoint. They have three new rides (one of them rethemed), the Flight of the Sky Lion, Fire and Ice Freefall and Hydra’s Challenge..
They also have a new restaurant, the Hungry Troll (used to be Harbourside Fish and Chips). Plus you can pick up some AWESOME donuts from the stand, we got the Unicorn one

The Flight of the Sky Lion is just AMAZING, it has to be our favourite ride at the park now (sorry Ninjago).
This is what Legoland say about the ride
“Brace yourself for the most exhilarating ride of them all. Take flight with Maximus on Flight of the Sky Lion, the UKs first EVER flying theatre, as he takes you on a thrilling expedition through the realms.
You will come face-to-face with some of LEGO MYTHICA’s rarest and scariest mythical creatures, be sure to watch out for the dreaded Chimera!”
We’re lucky currently as we have Club VIP passes in which we get unlimited fast track with them (they are running out at the end of the month & as much as we’ve loved having them, we won’t be renewing this year due to the price). I did make a note of the main queue line times, and at one point it was at 140 minutes, so you would want to get there first thing or later on in the day – towards the end.
There is also a meet and greet area where you can meet the characters from Mythica throughout the day. This is Charlie and Lollipop meeting Bits and Bobs, he is so cute

We stayed overnight in the Castle Hotel, we were supposed to stay at Christmas, but that got cancelled due to COVID! It was our first time in the Castle and we loved it, staff helpful and friendly, rooms clean and it was quiet too.
We had dinner in Bricks, which is in the main hotel. It’s currently table service and when I asked, the waitress wasn’t sure if they were ever going back to buffet or not. I have to say, considering how busy they were, the service was quick and the food was hot and tasty. It was a little pricey, especially for larger families. They still do Lego Fries, you just have to ask for them.
Breakfast was the same format, table service – but again, quick and hot and tasted much better than when it was buffet style. Charlie went for the kids continental & I went for the cooked breakfast

All in all, we had a fab, but tiring couple of days and can’t wait to go back again soon, next stop for us – Warwick Castle
