Granny’s Banana Bread

So, with the permission of Granny (mum’s mum) I am putting her recipe for her banana bread up. This is the one that I follow and its delicious

350g Bananas – peeled weight

180g plain flour

2 1/2 TSP baking powder

1 TSP salt

160g soft brown sugar – I use dark Muscovado sugar, it gives it a lovely taste

2 eggs

4 TBLSPN melted butter – I used salted butter

set the oven to 170° (degrees)

Put some of the 2/3 bananas into a bowl and mash

Put the dry ingredients into a bowl & lightly whisk the flour, sugar, eggs & butter together

Then fold all the ingredients together.

Pour into a bread tin that has been either greased or has grease proof paper lining .

Bake for approximately an hour. I test by sticking in a fork and when it comes out clean, then its done

Hope you enjoy baking and let me know how you get on with it
