We’re Back – Legoland 17th April 2021

What a weekend and a great start to the theme park season.

Saturday we headed to Legoland and were so happy to be back. Getting in was very easy, security was very quick and had hand sanitizer for you to use on the table, nicely spread out so you weren’t on top of each other getting through. Temp check was right before you entered the turnstiles. We currently have Club VIP passes (due to expire in July sadly) so headed to the left as we went in and were greeted happily by one of the VIP team members.

New model in The Beginning Area

The beginning didn’t seem to busy. Changes have been made, the hill top café has gone and the Big Shop has now expanded and had a makeover, it is now the biggest Lego store in the world. The shop to the left as you walk in has gone and they are by the looks of it, putting in a café there.

We just had a leisurly stroll around, we did a few rides – The Dragon, Spinning Spider, Jolly Rocker and a few others, but generally, just enjoyed being back.

Social distancing – I noticed some queue lines were better than others for this and people were generally ok, some parts of the park where there is less space, it is slightly more difficult, but people kept moving and didn’t hang around those areas. I didn’t hear many announcements from Legoland to remind people to social distance, but they may have done and I just missed them!!

Food outlets were take away only and started to get really busy from about 1130am onwards, so my advise is to either eat early, later on or take your own picnic. We went and sat on one of the benches around the Castaway Camp play area.

Head underneath the photos to see what rides are currently closed (due to government guidelines) and when they’ll be open
