Easter Weekend

We hope everyone had a good Easter weekend? We (for once) had a fairly quiet weekend, spending it mainly with family and friends. Charlie had come back on Thursday evening with his granny after spending a week in Charmouth, Dorset Fossil hunting. Mummy and pappy spent a couple of days with them but both had to come home early for work 😢 we stayed at Seadown Holiday Park which was a lovely site, had an on-site shop, close to the beach and access to more facilities at the neighbouring caravan park too

These are some of the fossils Charlie collected on the beach, he managed to get loads!

Poor mummy has been poorly with the flu 😷 all week, so it was nice just to spend time at both the grandparents houses in their gardens getting some fresh air

Saturday we had to say goodbye to our granny and pappy’s cat, Tilly, she was 21 years young and wasn’t well at all, it was a hard decision to make, but the right one, Charlie was upset, as were all of us, but mummy took him out shopping to buy a tree to plant for her in Granny’s garden

Easter Sunday morning we had an Easter egg hunt for Charlie and a couple of his friends, they had so much fun searching for the eggs with clues that granny had written, they loved Charlie and Granny’s Rocky Road too. Once they left, we had some more fun and games then a BBQ for dinner

Monday morning, was the last day of the Easter holidays for Charlie, so mummy took him out for breakfast, then we took some flowers over to his daddy, we had a sit by the tree together for a little while looking at Charlie’s new Pokémon cards

Lastly, we spend a couple of fun hours at Epping Ongar Railway which is definitely worth a visit, we parked at the North Weald station, but you can park at Epping Underground station and pick up one of the special double decker buses and get to either of the stations to then go on the trains, they have some special events coming up over the summer, so head over to the website (link above) to see what’s happening

We’re now on our countdown to visiting Legoland for the first time this year in May with our Merlin Annual Passes we’re very excited to try out the Haunted House Monster Party for the first time too

That’s it for now, have a great rest of the week x
